Hi there!
I'm glad you wanted to get to know me a little better. Feel free to check out some of what I've worked on.
Kevin Galvan Cuesta
AI/ML Researcher & Applied Engineer
I am currently working as an ML/Computer Vision Engineer, developing an in-house medical LLM with supporting tooling and Computer Vision diagnostic scanning applications for Android and iOS.
Concurrently, I lead research at the Georgia Institute of Technology on how segmentation models fail under real clinical conditions, specifically whether post-stroke brain lesion models hold up when MRI quality degrades. I also conduct AI safety research studying the influence of AI on human decision making.
I received my Master's in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Spring 2026, with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence. I completed my Bachelor's in Computer Science, Economics, and Philosophy at Case Western Reserve University in 2022.
Previously, I was a Data Analyst and Engineer at Inspire Brands, where I worked across data engineering and ML-assisted analytics for some of the largest restaurant brands in the country. Before that, I was a Data Science consultant for the California Department of Housing, developing predictive algorithms to improve access to affordable housing. During undergrad, I was both a Computer Vision researcher and a teaching assistant across multiple departments and courses.
